Great article! It’s so true that we often think about our needs during emergencies, but our furry friends need equal attention. I've been prepping for years, and I can't stress enough the importance of a solid emergency kit.

I always include extra food and water in mine—those long-lasting options are key. Also, having a recent photo handy can make a world of difference if your pup gets lost. I’ve seen it happen; it’s heart-wrenching.

Training is another biggie. Teaching your dog basic commands can really help in chaotic situations. I try to socialize my dog with different environments, too. It keeps them calm when things go sideways.

And let’s not forget about health. I keep a close eye on my dog's first aid kit—expired meds just won’t cut it when SHTF.

Anyway, thanks for the reminder! We’ve got to be prepared for anything, especially when it involves those we love. 🐾
