Denial as a Defense Mechanism

This article really hits home. I've seen denial play out in so many ways, especially in the prepper community. People often ignore warning signs until it's too late, thinking they can just "handle it later." It’s that same mindset when it comes to personal issues—it’s easier to pretend things are fine than to face the storm.

The signs listed are spot on. I know folks who refuse to talk about their struggles, always convincing themselves they’re doing okay. But when you're sailing through choppy waters, ignoring the waves won't keep your boat afloat.

I think it's crucial to have a support system in place, whether that's friends or groups where you can share your fears without judgment. We all need to face our realities, especially when the SHTF. Denial can be a temporary shield, sure, but it shouldn't become a long-term strategy. Keeping it real is the only way to truly prepare for what may come. ⚓️
